Meet your Photographer

Who am I? How did I get here?

Born and raised in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW, You’d think I was always taking wildlife and landscape photos on some fancy European luxury camera, and shooting since I was able to walk and liberate my hands from the ground. I could make up some story about attending prestigious art schools nobody has heard of or cares about, or some fib that I come from a long line of artists.

The real story? I never did properly get into photography until I was old enough to have the spare cash around. When I was flush with a cool $500 (yeah what a baller) to buy some old Marketplace camera. I quickly dove into it and soaked up all the knowledge I could. That was probably the start. The thing is, I just kept tumbling down the rabbit hole.

I was never a career guy. I never knew what I wanted to do. I did hospitality, aged care and even an office job or two!

I never wanted to be this business guy, but eventually I did weddings for fun on weekends. (psst! That’s how you know I really like it!)

It became a regular thing over time and took over most of what I photographed. I loved being there to help couples relive their weddings, have kick-ass lock screens and something beautiful to hang on the wall in their home.

One day, I looked at my calendar and realized I was so busy in the coming months with weddings that I couldn’t have a job and do this at the same time. Oh no, disaster, I can’t be in the office 9-5 anymore. Here we are years later and I just never really stopped. Oops.

Guess finding the BEST JOB EVER wasn’t that hard after all…

What’s My Approach?

Photography on your wedding day should show who you are individually and as a couple beautifully.

I believe both weddings and photography should be really fun for everyone. I strongly believe when you feel energized, happy and comfortable, you’ll look your best, and it will feel effortless!

Every time I look at my images, I feel the moments of the day, and who the couple is who I worked with. Connecting personally with the photos I create, not only makes my job a thrill, but it builds emotional authenticity right into the images.

I do things almost nobody else can or will.
At most weddings, I can give generously portioned, edited sneak peek highlights. I call it the same day edit. Remember to turn your Airdrop on!

I’m also one of the rare wedding photographers in Canberra who can shoot hybrid photo/video coverage. It’s that nice in between when you don’t want a full video, but you still want something gorgeous that tells the story.

Because as a photographer I’ll be with you through most of your day, My goal is on building a great relationship with you, supporting you while covering your day, so that you can be as much at ease as possible on what is for many, a nervous day. I aim to please by making the nervous times fun, and to create something naturally beautiful for you. The way I do this is by not taking myself seriously and hopefully, by becoming a welcomed part of your party!

That’s my approach. Now, see some real weddings!
