What is Hybrid Wedding Photography?
Hybrid coverage is a relatively new way to have your wedding covered with a main focus on photography, with the added bonus of short cinematic highlight videography!
Hybrid coverage means in addition to your wedding photography, I will produce you a cinematic highlight film, usually lasting around 4-10 minutes, depending on the length, content and flow of your wedding day.
They tell the story of your day in a beautiful, yet short, and shareable way.
The core focus of these packages remains on photography, with the addition of highlight videography to create a well balanced package that includes value once not possible from a photographer or videographer alone.
Hiring two teams has been the traditional way to get photo and video work of your wedding.
If you’re wanting the whole ceremony, all of the speeches, and a long form video between 30-60 minutes, documenting your day, it’s worth getting both photo and video teams. (I personally love Forget Me Knot Films for this)
On the other hand, if you want something shorter, still beautiful, in a more easily digestible package, or maybe you would prefer to save money for something else in your wedding (or honeymoon!) instead of hiring two teams, hybrid coverage is an excellent choice.
